The taste of Umbria, directly on your table.

Passion and tradition

Colle del Sole Farm, located in an enchanting landscape of valleys and hills, tells the story of a family who believed in organic farming and wine production and in the recovery of Umbrian vines: the Polidori’s.

Organic is better

For over thirty years, we have grown our grapes without the use of chemicals (fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides and pesticides) and without OGMs.

A wine dinasty

In 1938, Nello Polidori planted the first three hectares of vineyards, which reveal prodigies of excellent grapes.

Between 1968 and 1971, his son Carlo brought the production to 33 hectares. The “Denomination of Origin (DOC)” recognition was obtained in 1979, and in 1984 the conversion to organic production began, and hectares were reduced to 25. This was made easier by the fact that no herbicides had been used since 1968.

Since 1999, Carlo’s daughter Lauretta, an agronomist, oenologist and sommelier, has been leading the winery. She worked to renew the company through a patient work of interpretation and reconversion of ancient practices, in the light of the newest enological techniques.
